Important information about your rental
On arrival you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the operators of Orange Car Rental Ireland. Here is a summary of the terms and conditions:

Definitions

The following definitions apply for the Terms and Conditions for Orange Car Rental Ireland.

-  The Supplier means the operator of Orange Car Rental Ireland.
-  The Client is also referred to as the hirer (s)

WHAT IS INCLUDED:
* Basic Collision Damage Insurance
* Third Party Insurance
* Vehicle Theft Protection
* Local Taxes included in the basic rental rates
* Breakdown Cover
* Unlike other car rental companies this supplier does not charge additional fees for cross border driving.
* This supplier does not charge a road fund fee.
* Late pick ups are possible but may incur a late pick up fee.
* All ferry locations are meet and greet services, and will incur a fee of Euro45.40 (VAT inclusive).  These will be itemised where applicable
* An airport suppliment applies at all airports of Euro 25 (VAT inclusive).This will be itemised separately.
* An administration fee of Euro 4.95 is itemised.

After hours pick up fee:

Late pick ups are possible but may incur a late pick up fee. Please contact your Orange Reservation desk at the contact details supplied on your booking confirmation to discuss this.

Driver’s License:
Drivers must be in possession of a full unendorsed driving license which has been held for at least 2 years prior to the commencement of rental. Licenses must be produced in person at the time of collection. Certain minor endorsements or offences may be accepted but please check with Central Reservations before making a booking.

Any client with a UK photo card driving license must have the 2 parts of their current driving license in their possession at time of rental. We cannot rent to UK clients who arrive with only a portion of their license. Failure to produce your license or credit card will result in you being unable to pick up your car.

Drivers:
You must be between the ages of 21 and 75 to rent a car. Drivers between 21-23 and 71-75 years are still able to rent from us however a compulsory surcharge applies.

Child Seats:
May be rented for children weighing up to 40 lbs.

Rental Minimum:
There is a 2-day minimum for all car rentals. Please note that a minimum 7 day rental period will apply over the dates from 19th Dec 2008 to 4th Jan 2009. This is due to limited availability of vehicles at this time.

One Way Rentals:
Are subject to a 3 day minimum rental charge.  This applies to rentals being picked up and dropped off at different locations.

Cross Border Driving:
Unlike other car rental companies Orange Car Rental Ireland does not charge additional fees for cross border driving.

Road Fund Charge:
Orange does not charge a road fund fee.

Specific Car Models:
Cars can be reserved by group only and not by specific model. Similar or larger cars may be substituted at the rental company's discretion.

Personal accident insurance:
This may be purchased directly from Orange Car Rental at the time of pick up. The policy covers the driver for injury or death up to EU 12,500 for EU 6 per day.

CDI Insurance Southern Ireland :
The rates on this website are inclusive of CDI insurance and have an insurance deductible (excess) of EU1000 – EU1500 depending on vehicle size.  This can be reduced to EU100 with the purchase of an additional policy.

CDI Insurance Northern Ireland :
The rates on this website are inclusive of CDI insurance and have an insurance deductible (excess) of £600 – £800, depending on vehicle size. This can be reduced to ZERO by paying an additional daily charge.. The hirer is still liable for tyres/wheels and glass.

Theft insurance
This is included in the rates quoted as part of the CDI insurance.

Credit Card Requirements:
When CDW is purchased passengers must have a credit card, and leave a deposit of Euro 1000/1500 to cover the deductible unless they purchase one of the CDI insurance policies. This will reduce the liability to 100.

MasterCard and Visa:
Certain credit cards will cover the CDI insurance in Ireland. In the U.S. ONLY MasterCard Platinum offers CDI coverage.  Certain VISA cards offer the coverage for Canadian cardholders. A letter of authorisation from the credit card company MUST be presented at time of rental in order to waive the CDI coverage. Theft insurance may not be included in this.It is the responsibility of the cardholder to determine coverage and present proof upon rental.  If proof of coverage is insufficient, the renter will be charged for CDI.  No. cars will be rented without insurance.

Flight Information:
For all airport collections, you must provide us with the correct flight number and arrival time when booking your vehicle.

Confirmation:
Please read your confirmation carefully and check all details are correct, i.e. pick up date, flight number, car size.

Traffic Fines:
Parking, speeding, litter and other traffic fines are the responsibility of the main renter and will be charged to your credit card when the fine is received.

Lost keys:
Vehicle keys are chip-coded and are costly and timely items to replace. If you lose the rented vehicle's key, you will be obliged to pay for its replacement (approximately EU 200.00) plus any associated transport costs in connecting you with a new key.

Auto Theft:
We strongly recommend that you park the vehicle in supervised car parks/garages in the major cities and never leave any personal item on view inside the vehicle as damage resulting from the theft of these will be charged for.

AA Covered:
All cars are fully covered by Automobile Association (AA) Membership

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
